Current HKI Projects

Here is a list of projects we currently need your help with. When donating, please indicate a specific project or if you don't have a preference, indicate “General Fund.”

1. Bibs: All the SWIs need bibs- all sizes and used are OK!! You can send them directly to the SWI of your choice. For a list of addresses, please follow this link: http://www.redthreadmaps.com/henan_o.htm This link has the address in both Chinese and English. If you don't see your SWI listed, you please contact info@henankids.org (This is a GREAT and easy project for your kids, church groups, or other organization like Boy’s and Girl’s scouts to get behind!)

2. CD players for LuoHe and Zhengzhou: We need 4 total and each one costs $70. Please indicate “CD Players” when donating.

3. Computer for LuoYang: $500

4. New LOCC at Kaifeng. Kaifeng is receiving many special needs babies and needs another LOCC room. We need $540 per month for staff and $950 for the water heater.

5. Sponsoring infants at NanYang. In July, the new NanYang SWI will open and they need people to sponsor infants.

Make a difference! We will not be able to complete any of these projects without your help. Choose a project that means something to you or that you would like to support. Send out emails to friends and family to help support! Imagine asking people for just $5-$10 for one of these projects- we could EASILY move these to COMPLETED by this summer!

We frequently get emails asking if people can donate clothing, toys, etc to send to China. The BEST way to help is to fundraise and donate money. Items are much less expensive to buy in China, and no money is wasted on shipping and handling. One way to donate used clothing is to bring those items with you when you travel and your guides will see that they get to the right places.
